Let’s face it, digital transformation (DX) means different things to different people and companies. So, when it comes to printing options, Fuji Xerox is banking on its 19 new multifunction printing (MFP) models to cater to as broad a range of DX needs as possible.

According to the company, the new models from its digital multifunction/printer ApeosPort and DocuPrint series, together with Fuji Xerox’s solutions, will allow businesses to overcome new challenges on intensifying security risk, demand for greater efficiency, burgeoning operational complexities as well as changes in work style and space.

According to a company spokesperson, organisations in Asia-Pacific are continuing to place emphasis on digital transformation initiatives amid recent economic uncertainty, viewing digital transformation as a top priority.

Customers are also increasingly looking to overcome challenges due to intensifying security risk, calls for greater efficiency and burgeoning operational complexities, as well as evolving changes in work style and space.

New way of work

According to Gartner COVID-19 will have a lasting impact on the future of work and suggests that leaders evaluate the pandemic’s impact on their organisation’s operations and strategic goals.

“It’s critical for business leaders to understand that large-scale shifts are changing how people work and how business gets done,” said Brian Kropp, Distinguished Vice President, Gartner.

This includes understand the extent to which employees will continue to remote work long after COVID-19’s threat has passed.

For its part, Fuji Xerox opined that “while many countries in Asia-Pacific are gradually lifting restrictions and slowly resuming to some sort of normalcy, borderless work practices will undoubtedly continue to drive the future of work, with employees and employers alike demanding a more flexible and agile workplace to enhance organisational productivity.”

The vendor explained that its multifunction solutions allow employees to access information anytime and anywhere while maintaining a high level of security and control via mobile and cloud access. By allowing the workforce to connect on the go, Fuji Xerox will complement new modes of work that call for seamless connectivity.

Cloud trend

According to IDC at least 91% of surveyed enterprises see spending on the cloud was set to increase. Amidst the rising infrastructure complexities and costs, cloud investment desired benefits – simplifying IT, business agility, and ensuring security meet compliance requirements – are not being met by enterprises.

Citing the Google-commissioned Forrester paper, Rethink Technology In The Age Of The Cloud Worker, it noted that 78% of cloud-based workers stating that the most important capability in devices used for work is the ability to fix issues without losing productivity, the new models will include digital conversion for document automation of business process and advancements in user-friendly interface.

For its part, Fuji Xerox claims that its cloud-enabled solutions will enable remote processes and streamlined document management will change the way we work in the years to come – and time has shown that early adopters stand to gain the greatest benefit by staying ahead of the curve.
